SAFARI OVERVIEW

With Htt-Safari, this culture safari offers an opportunity to explore the real culture and nature of Africa.  It will enable you to visit extraordinary people who belong to an indigenous tribe known as the ‘Hadzabe’ (hunter-gatherer Bushmen).

The Maasai tribe (or Masai) is a unique and popular tribe due to their long preserved culture. Despite education, civilization and western cultural influences, the Maasai people have clung to their traditional way of life, making them a symbolic culture.

Maasai’s distinctive culture, dress style and strategic territory along the game parks of Tanzania and Ngorongoro Conservation Area. And have made them one of East Africa’s most internationally famous tourist attractions.

The Datoga the pastoralists are also skilled silversmith’s who live near the Hadza and supply them with iron tips, knives and spears in exchange for honey and fruits. Their origins are the Horn of Africa thought to have immigrated some 3,000 years ago. They wear traditional dress decorated in coloured beads and the women often have facial scarification for beauty.

Then also you will travel by visit Tarangire, Lake Manyara National park, and Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Make adventurous memories for a lifetime and observe the fascinating landscapes and the abundant wildlife in its natural habitat!

DAY 1: ARRIVAL ARUSHA TANZANIA

Arrive in Tanzania at the Kilimanjaro International airport where you will met with HTT Safaris guide. Then transfer to Arusha for dinner and overnight at Planet lodge.

DAY 2: ARUSHA- TARANGIRE NATIONAL PARK

After breakfast at the lodge, picked up with packed lunch and drive to Tarangire national park for game drive, this park known for its big concentration of Elephants per square kilometer and also the magnificent combination of Baobab and Acacia trees which make the unique landscape. You can able to see the big cats Lions, Leopards and Cheetahs; you will also see zebras, wildebeest, buffaloes and many other species of antelopes. The park is the paradise for bird’s watcher due to its habitats

DAY 3: TARANGIRE FULL GAME DRIVE

After breakfast at the lodge, with packed lunch drive to Tarangire for a full day game viewing. In this long day you can be able to cover the big area of the Park which will give you more chance to see the Big Cats and this can make the great experience of your life time.

DAY 4: TARANGIRE – LAKE MANYARA

After breakfast at we leave Tarangire National Park with parked lunch and drive for 1 hour to Lake Manyara National Park.

Lake Manyara National Park is one of Tanzania’s most dramatically located wildlife areas, consisting of a massive but shallow soda lake (covering two-thirds of the park) at the foot of the Great Rift Valley’s western escarpment. The park’s varied habitat attracts a wide variety of African animals, including elephants, Giraffes, Hippos, Buffalos, and many other animals without forgetting the unique feature of tree climbing lions, as well as large flocks of flamingos, attracted by the algae in the lake.

DAY 5: LAKE EYASI

After early cup of coffee, with parked breakfast drive to Bushmen ‘Hadzabe’ area. This morning you will be introduced to the extraordinary people who belong to an indigenous tribe known as the ‘Hadzabe’ (hunter-gatherer Bushmen). Then after you will have luck to participate with them in local hunting with bow arrow. After hunt it will be a good time for you to enjoy your bush breakfast. Lake Eyasi is a very scenic soda lake found on the southern border of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. This less visited lake lies at the base of the Eyasi escarpment on the western rift valley wall. The tribe inhabits the lake shores. After breakfast short drive to visit the Nilotic-speaking Datoga tribe who deals with animal keeping and iron smith. There is very good time for you to learn and participate in local activities around their villages include iron meting and grind maize by use stone and many other activities. Then drive back to the lodge for rest and waiting for hot lunch. Lake Eyasi area is the best for onion growing in East Africa, so after lunch you will head to onion plantations and this will be end of your extraordinary life experience.

DAY 6: NGORONGORO CRATER

After early breakfast it’s time for the famous Ngorongoro Crater, drive from the lodge to Ngorongoro Conservation area. You will descend down to the Crater floor by our 4×4 wheel drive vehicle for game viewing, where you will witness one of the beautiful landscape in the world.

The Ngorongoro Conservation Area boasts the finest blend of landscapes, wildlife, people and archaeological sites in Africa. Often called “the African Eden”. The Ngorongoro Crater, a World Heritage Site, is nestled in a range of extinct volcanoes which rise to heights of more than 3,500 meters (11,483 feet). It is the largest unflooded and unbroken caldera in the world – 19.2 km (12 miles) in diameter, 610 m (2,000feet) deep and 304 sq. km (117 sq. miles) in area.

Ngorongoro is a huge and deep volcanic Crater. There’s rich pasture, swamps, forest and permanent water on the Crater floor that’s why wildlife is so diverse and numerous. The crater floor is home to the largest population of mammals and you can spot the big 5 here on a relatively small area just stunning. Is the best opportunity to see black Rhino and many other rare species like the black-manned Lion.  After game drive enjoy your picnic lunch at Ngoitoktok spring in the crater.

After lunch enjoy the rest of your time for game drive and late afternoon drive to the lodge;

Dinner and Overnight at Bougainvillea lodge. All meals included.

DAY 7: MTO WA MBU MARKET & VISIT VILLAGE TO ARUSHA TOWN
After breakfast at the lodge, visit the Mto WA Mbu with local guide and experience the life style at the local village, learning about their culture, agriculture and history of the area. Enjoy the African tradition cuisine

After lunch drive to Arusha town.

NOTE

This safari can be connected to Zanzibar Island tour, this beautifully Island along Indian Ocean reputed as very unique and attractive white sand beach in the world. After long safari you can swimming and relaxing while starching your back waiting for your flight back home.
